Registering as a TEMP

Candidates

All candidates registering for temp work will go through the process stipulated before.  Once you have found the role (or candidate) you want, we will make contact with you regularly to ensure that you are completely satisfied and will raise any issues at the outset.  We manage all candidate time sheets and payments and even offer fortnightly payments directly into your account if you wish .  You can down load the time sheet from the website.

Registration Process

  • All candidates are initially pre-screened over the phone and then e-mailed registration forms.
  •  You are then thoroughly interviewed on a one-to-one basis by a consultant dedicated to assisting you. Particular emphasis is placed on motivation, long term aims and your relevant experience.
  • Languages are tested at interview with one of our bi-lingual consultants or by written translation.
  • Skills are fully tested: spelling, numeracy, language, typing, shorthand, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook. We have 5 PCs for testing and use the Qwiz Software programme – a recognised world-wide leader in competency assessment testing
  •  You will need to bring in your passport on registration. The passport is examined along with accompanying documentation where necessary such as marriage certificates, letters from the Home Office or visas.  Copies of these are taken and kept on file. Candidates will only be registered if they are legally allowed to work and reside in the UK. 
  • As part of the registration process  you will need to sign a declaration as to whether  you have a criminal record.
  • CCJ checks are undertaken when required
  • Working Holiday Visas are all closely checked and then monitored
  • All candidates are asked to bring employee testimonials from the last 5 yrs in order to register with ABL
